Under humid or contaminated conditions, leakage currents may occur between live parts of opposite polarity or between live parts and grounded metal components, leading to arcing, material erosion, short circuits, or even ignition.
This tester simulates such scenarios to conduct destructive testing on insulating materials, evaluating their relative resistance to tracking under specified voltages in the presence of electric fields and contaminated water. It is suitable for solid insulating materials and products in electrical/electronic equipment and household appliances, such as relay sockets, switch covers, and contactor housings.
Model | 6006-HD |
Chamber Volume | ≥0.5 m³, with a glass observation door |
Electrical Load | Adjustable test voltage: 100-600V. Short-circuit current: 1A ±0.1A with ≤10% voltage drop. Overcurrent relay trips at 0.5A ±10% (2s tolerance ±10%), triggering an audible alarm for failed samples (reset via voltage stop). |
Electrode Force | Rectangular platinum electrodes, each applying 1.0N ±0.05N to the sample. |
Test Duration | Adjustable range: 0.01-99.99 seconds/minutes/hours. |
Test Cycles | Pre-settable: 1-999,900 cycles |
Droplet System | Droplet height adjustable: 30-40mm. Mass of 50 droplets: 0.997-1.147g; 20 droplets: 0.380-0.480g. Droplet interval: 30±5 seconds (configurable). |
Key Features | Stainless steel/brass construction with platinum-plated electrodes (high-temperature/corrosion-resistant). Precise droplet counting, stable control system, integrated ventilation, and lighting for clear observation and fume extraction. |
Power Supply | AC 220V, 50Hz. |
